On Demand: Practice with IMS teachers on your schedule, at your own pace!

This retreat will strengthen our understanding and experience of the nature of awareness in meditation practice.
We will explore this in three steps. In the first days of the retreat we will build meditative stability through a
focus on mindfulness of breathing (anapanasati). In the next phase, we will introduce the practice of lovingkindness
(metta) to open us to the beautiful and responsive qualities of heart. Then, with concentration and lovingkindness
as our foundation, the final days of the retreat will focus on specific meditative techniques that allow us to rest in
the pure nature of awareness.

Prerequisites:
Applicants are expected to have attended at least one four-week structured and teacher-led insight meditation
retreat, or four similar one-week retreats.

Three-Week Extension:

For those who take part in the Still Heart of Awareness retreat, there will be the opportunity to register for a 21-day
extension taught by the same teachers which will take place immediately after. The extension will offer one teaching
a day (except Sundays) which will be designed to continue and further develop the themes of the retreat. Details on
the extension will be coming soon.

Registration gives you access to the livestream event as well as unlimited access to each recorded session through our replay library.

Cost is sliding-scale: $190, $275, or $500, your choice. Registration fees support the Insight Meditation Society’s work online and at our physical retreat centers in Barre, MA.

A note on dana (generosity)
Most IMS teachers—like insight teachers around the world—rely on the generosity of students for their livelihood, and
receive no compensation from course fees. (Click here to learn more about the dana practice.) There will be an opportunity
to offer a contribution to your teachers at the end of this course.
