IMS Online FAQ

How do I register for an IMS Online Program?

From the IMS website, select your desired program and click REGISTER NOW. You will be directed to a separate registration page. Please note that some IMS Online programs are hosted on the IMS/Zoom platform and other IMS Online programs are hosted on a platform called Union.fit (Union). You may be directed to either an IMS webpage or a Union webpage to complete your registration.

Can I transfer my registration from one IMS Online program to another?

It depends. IMS Online programs are delivered on two separate platforms; some programs occur on a platform named “Union,” and others occur within an IMS/Zoom ecosystem. If you registered for a program being delivered on the Union platform, your registration is not transferable. If you registered for a program on the IMS/Zoom platform, you may contact us at imsonline@dharma.org to request a program transfer. However, you may only transfer from one IMS/Zoom program to another IMS/Zoom program; you may not transfer from an IMS/Zoom program to a Union program.

Are refunds available if I need to cancel?

Yes. If you signed up for a program and can no longer attend, please contact imsonline@dharma.org to request a refund.

Is financial assistance available?

Yes. As one part of our ongoing effort to expand access to the teachings of the Buddha, all IMS Online programs feature sliding scale registration fees, scholarship opportunities, and no-fee enrollment for those who request a fee-waiver. Our “Pay What You Can Afford” system supports the cultivation of a dynamic and inclusive community and contributes to the health and vibrancy of the sangha. Email imsonline@dharma.org  for more information or to request a no-fee enrollment or scholarship. You may also choose “scholarship” at checkout when that option is visible. We thank our generous donors and full-fee participants for supporting the potential of all who wish to study the Dharma.

Are IMS Online registration fees tax deductible?

No.

Is Dana (donations freely offered to IMS and its teachers) tax deductible?

Yes, Dana is tax deductible subject to normal IRS regulations on charitable giving.

Can I register a friend?

Yes, you can register a friend for any IMS Online program but you must register each person independently using different email addresses and passwords. As program registrations may not be shared, be sure to have correct email addresses and desired passwords for each party on hand before registration so that each person may access their course independently after registration.
