April 22 - April 30, 2020 (Wednesday to Thursday)

We are temporarily closed in response to coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns.

Awareness is a natural quality of the mind. When the mind is relaxed and at ease, a natural awareness can become a part of our lives. This moment-to-moment awareness enables us to see things as they are, leading to the blossoming of wisdom and compassion.

This silent retreat will emphasize developing a continuity of awareness that is supported by wise attitude and wise effort. Practicing with a receptive, kind attitude and a relaxed yet diligent effort enables us to explore how our life is our practice, and that all experience can become a support for greater awareness, wisdom and compassion.

The daily format will include regular group check-ins with the teachers, an optional movement session led by Franz Moeckl, and flexible periods of sitting and walking meditation to support self-reliance in the practice. This course is suitable for beginning as well as experienced students.

This retreat is full with a waitlist of over 40 people. To be added to the list, submit a registration and deposit.

Two of our three scholarship rates are no longer available.

A limited number of fellowships are available. People with a commitment to service - a deep desire to devote oneself to serving others through their profession - are eligible for a Hemera Contemplative Fellowship. Click here for more information and to apply.
