IMS’s Annual Appeal—Generosity in Extraordinary Times

For over 44 years, silence has been a steady companion on our woodland campus. This silence has benefited countless meditators, and enhanced their capacity to notice and feel more subtle aspects of being.

Today, only empty cushions hold space for the dharma at IMS. Still, there has been one constant source of uplift to keep us going during this extraordinary year—you! Your friendship has enabled us to survive—and to evolve—so that we can serve all those who seek refuge in the buddha, dharma and sangha.

Your gifts sustain this place of refuge—the people, lands and buildings—as we prepare for a possible reopening sometime next year.

This year, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act offers significant U.S. tax incentives to stimulate charitable giving. Individuals can deduct up to 100% of their 2020 adjusted gross income for cash donations to qualified charities. The new law also creates a $300 above-the-line charitable deduction for filers who claim the standard deduction ($600 for married couples filing jointly). There’s never been a more compelling moment to give!

With your help, IMS can continue to offer support and refuge to all, awakening hearts and minds. Please join us in making a gift to IMS today.
