We often hear about the benefits of meditation, yet most of us find it challenging to bring more awareness into our everyday lives. These challenges are often due to the misconception that busy people don’t have time to meditate, or that a meditating mind must be still and quiet. During this retreat, we’ll debunk those myths and develop an understanding of meditation practice that you feel excited to explore in all aspects of life, whether on or off retreat.

This course is designed for beginners as well as more advanced meditators who would like to learn to engage their practice in everyday life. The retreat will be held in silence with teachings on wise speech, deep listening, and mindful living in the midst of our day-to-day hustle and bustle.

An optional daily period of mindful movement will be offered by Chia-Ti Chiu.

A limited number of You Choose fee spaces are available for ages 18-26. This means you can establish your own retreat fee, based on your financial means. A minimum of $25 per day is required (i.e. a minimum of $75 for the entire retreat). Email registration@dharma.org to apply.

All Hemera Contemplative Fellowships have been awarded for this retreat. Please feel free to check back here for any updates.

Teacher Support: Most IMS teachers—like insight teachers around the world—offer their teachings freely, and rely on the generosity of students for their livelihood. Teachers do not generally receive compensation from IMS program fees. Click here to learn more about teacher support. There will be an opportunity to offer a contribution to your teachers at the end of this program, or you may donate now.
