Welcome to the retreat page for the three-week extension of Guy & Sally Armstrong’s Still Heart of Awareness retreat offered September 1 – 8, 2020. That retreat introduced three themes of practice: concentration through mindfulness of breathing, developing heart qualities through loving-kindness meditation, and connecting to the liberating factor of awareness.
This three-week extension will further expand on these practices, suggesting additional meditation techniques and understandings. The extension, from September 9 – 30, is available only to those who participated in the Still Heart of Awareness retreat.
This extension will feature the same themes in a less intensive format, with one teaching session a day (except Sundays) that will offer either meditation instructions, Q&A, or a talk. We encourage you to integrate the teachings into your life as works best for you. If it is possible for you to continue with the at-home retreat schedule you established for the September 1 – 8 retreat, that would be wonderful and beneficial. If that is not suitable, then you can incorporate the extension teachings as they suit your daily life.
Audio from the talks and instructions will be posted to Dharma Seed for retreatants only.
