A wellspring of joy arises when we realize the scope of the Buddha's teachings and their impact on our relationships and activities. This silent retreat, open to all, is an invitation to explore the core teaching of mindfulness and how it supports the cultivation of wisdom and compassion. With practice, we come to interact with our world with an ease of mind and understanding, especially amidst the fullness and vibrancy of everyday life.

The course format will include meditation instruction and guidance, silent sitting and walking meditation periods, as well as talks about the Buddha’s teachings and meetings with the teachers. One optional session of mindful movement will be offered by Éowyn Ahlstrom.

A limited number of You Choose fee spaces are available for ages 18 – 26. This means you can establish your own retreat fee, based on your financial means. A minimum of $20 per day is required (i.e. a minimum of $100 for the entire retreat). Email registration@dharma.org to apply.

Teacher Support:
Most IMS teachers—like insight teachers around the world—offer their teachings freely, and rely on the generosity of students for their livelihood. Teachers do not generally receive compensation from IMS program fees. Click here to learn more about teacher support. There will be an opportunity to offer a contribution to your teachers at the end of this program, or you may donate now.
