Online Retreat for People of Color with DaRa Williams, JoAnna Hardy & Devin Berry

Welcome!

We’re saddened that we will not be offering our annual residential People of Color retreat with DaRa Williams, JoAnna Hardy, and Devin Berry this June. As most of you probably know, IMS’s Retreat Center and Forest Refuge are now closed through July due to concerns over COVID-19

We are thrilled, however, that DaRa, JoAnna, and Devin will offer an online version of their retreat here, with the support  of Andrea Castillo, Nolitha Tsengiwe, Yong Oh, and Sabra Saperstein. The retreat begins on Thursday, June 18, at 4 pm EDT.

At a time when circumstances force us all to isolate, our hope is that this program will bring our POC sangha together, providing an online space that cultivates intimacy and connection rooted in the Dharma.

If you haven’t done so already, please register for this retreat here.

This page includes the retreat schedule, Zoom information, and other retreat resources provided by the teachers. If you have additional questions, please email us at imsonline@dharma.org.

Retreat Dana (generosity)

Most IMS teachers—like insight teachers around the world—rely on the generosity of students for their livelihood, and receive no compensation from course fees. All IMS online teachers receive a modest dana advance from IMS to guarantee a minimum level of financial support. (Click here to learn more about the dana practice.)
