Healing the Heart of Democracy: A Special, Free IMS Online Event

Implicit in the heart of democracy is a belief in the inherent worth of each individual voice and vote. But how can we nourish a democracy when deep conditioning leans into the silencing of critical perspectives, exclusionary policies, racial injustice, and a general lack of awareness of the needs of one another? Can we rise above the great fallacy that compassion is a losing proposition in a dog-eat-dog world? What role can mindfulness, discernment, and lovingkindness play in the co-creation of a better future for us all?

Join IMS co-founder Sharon Salzberg, Rhonda Magee, Parker Palmer and moderator Jerry Colonna for a special panel discussion on Healing the Heart of Democracy, on Monday, February 15, from 5 -7 pm ET. The event is FREE, though voluntary donations will be accepted for those wishing to support the ongoing work of the Insight Meditation Society.
