Dawn Scott

Dawn Scott has been practicing insight meditation since 2008 and coordinated Spirit Rock’s Family Program for nine years. She is a graduate of the 2017-2021 IMS Teacher Training Program and is a core teacher of Spirit Rock’s Advanced Practitioner Program. Dawn has a deep love of long retreat practice and enjoys sharing the Buddha’s liberative teachings.

Jill Shepherd

Jill Shepherd began practicing insight meditation in Thailand in 1999, and since that time has lived and worked at several meditation centers and monasteries in the US, Australia, England, and Thailand.

She recently spent seven years on staff at the Insight Meditation Society (IMS) in Barre, Massachusetts, where she participated in several long retreats and Buddhist study programs, as well as offering weekly meditation classes at a nearby men’s prison.

She is a graduate of the IMS / Spirit Rock teacher training program in the US, under the guidance of Joseph Goldstein and Gil Fronsdal.

Currently, she divides her time mostly between the USA, Australia and New Zealand, teaching vipassana and brahma vihara retreats and offering ongoing study and practice groups focused on bringing the dharma into daily life. She also leads courses and non-residential workshops exploring the relational practice of Insight Dialogue, as developed by Gregory Kramer and colleagues.

William Edelglass

William Edelglass is Director of Studies at the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies. He is a scholar who has practiced in several Buddhist traditions. William publishes widely in Buddhist studies, environmental humanities, and philosophy. He serves as chair of the board of directors of the International Association of Environmental Philosophy and co-editor of the journal Environmental Philosophy.

Nicola Redfern

Nicola Redfern is an Insight Dialogue teacher with an extensive background in both Zen and Vipassana meditation. She has been trained to teach Insight Dialogue by founding teacher Gregory Kramer. With a strong belief that awakening is not simply a solo endeavor, Nicola is particularly interested in getting meditation off the cushion and fully integrated into life, work, and relationships. She has also taught Nonviolent Communication and co-teaches courses on unlearning racism. Nicola lives in Santa Fe, NM.

Roxanne Dault

Roxanne Dault has been dedicated to this practice since 2006, sitting long silent retreats both in Asia and in the West. A teacher at True North Insight in Canada, she is also trained in Somatic Experiencing®, a body-mind approach aimed at relieving the symptoms of trauma. Roxanne also serves on the Board of Directors of Insight World Aid. She speaks French, English and is learning her ancestors’ language, Anishinaabemowin. She is a graduate of the 2017-2021 IMS Teacher Training Program.

Vance Pryor

Vance Pryor, PsyD, began insight meditation in 1998. He has been deeply influenced by the teachings of Sayadaw U Pandita and Sayadaw U Tejaniya. His training to become a teacher has been supported by the mentorship of Steve Armstrong and Kamala Masters. He is a graduate of IMS’s 2017-2021 Teacher Training Program.
