From the perspective of the Buddha's teachings, there are basically two ways that we as human beings can live our lives. We can either be mindful of the present moment and its contents, or not. The consequences are diametrically opposed. Being mindful of the present moment supports happiness and the understanding of what leads to happiness in our lives. Not being mindful leads to suffering without understanding what leads to it, or how to let it go. Simply, the source of happiness and unhappiness lies in our own hearts and minds.

During this silent retreat, suitable for both beginning and experienced meditators, we will explore various techniques and approaches that train the heart and mind to be present in a way that is both relaxed and alert, kind and compassionate.
