Scholarship Funds

Thanks to generous donations, IMS has established various scholarship funds to support the practice needs of our diverse community. Please read the information below and, if submitting a scholarship application, please select the fund that best suits your situation.

Danic Scholarship

In recognition of the greater degrees of suffering that some of us experience, Danic Scholarship funds provide the means for those in any kind of pain – whether emotional or physical – to attend IMS retreats.

People of Color Scholarship

IMS offers a 'You Choose' fee option for the People of Color Retreat, charging a minimum of just $10 per day (or $50 for this 5-day course).

If you wish to apply for a People of Color Scholarship to attend any of our other courses, please refer to our Retreat Center Schedule for the minimum deposit amount required on registration.

The Ryan Fund

This scholarship supports and encourages meditation for teenagers. Its purpose is to provide assistance to 14-19 year-olds wishing to participate in any of our retreats, but whose financial circumstances might otherwise prevent attendance.

A minimum deposit of $50 is required for any teen submitting a retreat registration and Ryan Fund Scholarship application. For some of our courses, however, online registration with a $50 deposit is not yet possible. In such cases, please send us completed forms by postal mail.

Youth Outreach Scholarship

It is our wish to support the practice needs of meditators in early adulthood. Youth Outreach Scholarship funds provide means for those aged 18-32 with limited or no income to attend Retreat Center courses. A minimum deposit of $50 is required on submitting your retreat registration and Youth Outreach Scholarship application.

For some of our courses, however, online registration with a $50 deposit is not yet possible. In such cases, please send us completed forms by postal mail.
