Insight Meditation Society
welcomes you

A meditation retreat at IMS is an opportunity for spiritual refuge and transformation. It is an invitation to explore the possibility of freedom from suffering, amidst quiet and seclusion.

IMS is one of the Western world's most-respected meditation centers. For over 30 years, our experienced teachers have offered guidance in Buddhist meditations known as vipassana (insight) and metta (lovingkindness). These practices help develop awareness and compassion, giving rise to greater peace and happiness in the world.

We operate two meditation practice programs – the Retreat Center and the Forest Refuge.
