ye keci pānabhūt’ atthi
tasā vā thāvarā vā anavasesā
dīghā vā ye mahantā vā
majjhimā rassakā anukathūlā, |

Whatever living beings there be: feeble or strong, tall, stout or medium, short, small or
large, without exception; |

Without exception, weak or strong,
Whether long or high
